Struggling to reach your fitness goals? I totally get it.

For the majority of people, staying in shape isn’t easy – it takes a lot of work.

As someone who has been battling gaining an excessive amount of weight since launching my business, taking care of myself and making my health a priority have been incredibly difficult.

This month with the help of an endocrinologist, I’m finally making the commitment I need to get my heath back on track. If you’re like me, exercise, healthy eating and taking care of yourself all require effort to be made, and finding motivation and discipline can be so difficult!

If you need a boost to help you stay in shape, take a look at the following tips to help you find your fitness motivation to help you stay on track with your goals.

1. Work out in the mornings.

Working out in the evenings is great for some people, but for others, it’s easy to find an excuse not to do it (I’m so so guilty of this!).

If you workout in the morning, however, you lose many of the excuses that you’d normally have not to work out, and your day won’t have even started to affect your mood or energy levels.

Get your morning off to a good start with some easy morning workout ideas and get your body moving!

2. Find a workout partner in crime.

For some people, working out with a friend or partner can be a great way to stay on track.

From having someone to spot you at the gym or help you feel more confident in a class, it can help to have someone there.

Choose a friend who’s supportive, who has similar goals and is reliable. When you cancel a session, you won’t only be letting yourself down, but your partner too, which can be great motivation to stick at it.

3. Plan out your workouts.

Planning out your workouts can help make sure that the time you’ve set aside for exercise isn’t wasted doing other things.

Work out in advance what you’re going to do, for how long and create an awesome playlist to go with it. This will help you focus on different areas and keep things fresh and interesting to help you stay on track.

There are plenty of great apps to help you work out more effectively, so give them a go to help you tailor your sessions.

4. Surround yourself with inspiration.

Could surrounding yourself with fitness inspiration be a good way to stay motivated? It’s worth a try! Why not follow some fitness accounts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to help you see people hard at work.

Seeing people working out and achieving their goals can help give you the motivation you need to stick to your workout to help achieve your own results. Take a look at some of the best fitness Instagram accounts to help you get started.

5. Give yourself a boost.

It’s easier to stay motivated when you start seeing results, so why not give yourself a jump start?

Whether you’re looking to lose weight or earn some gains, sometimes it’s worth trying something a bit more challenging to help you see results fast.

Supplements from Dietprobe can help boost your results, giving you the motivation to carry on. I personally haven’t used them, but I’ve read reviews that they’re legit.

6. Keep things interesting.

It’s easy to lose motivation to work out when you’re doing the same thing day in, day out.

By mixing up your workout, you’ll keep up your enthusiasm, but you’ll also keep your body guessing for better results.

And remember, workouts don’t have to be boring. Some fun workout ideas can help you stay on track to enjoy better results.

Try something new and refresh your routine to help ensure continuing results.

7. Don’t be afraid to take a break.

When you’ve thrown yourself into a new fitness routine, it can be difficult to break away from it.

However, training too much can have negative effects on your body and mind.

Rest days are important, and if you’re injured or overtraining, you might need to consider a longer break to help you recover.

So long as you plan a return date in advance, you shouldn’t have to worry about losing your motivation for good.

8. Use healthy eating to help you stay on track.

Working out can help you burn calories, gain muscle and help you get fitter, but the right diet can help boost your results even more.

Living a healthier lifestyle involves a combination of things, and eating a more balanced diet is one of them.

Eating healthy will help motivate you to carry on working out to overhaul your lifestyle and see better, faster results.

9. Set yourself goals.

Having a goal to work towards is important, and without them, you can suffer from a lack of direction with your workouts.

Learn to set yourself realistic fitness goals that you’ll actually achieve. From completing a running challenge to being able to lift a certain amount of weight, there are goals that you can work towards to help you keep motivated.

Break down your overarching goals with smaller ones to help keep your enthusiasm going.

10. Remember to treat yourself- occasionally.

Training hard and eating well are good ways to achieve your goals, but it’s important to treat yourself  every now and then too.

Whether your weakness is pizza or a glass of wine in the tub, don’t deprive yourself of the things you enjoy.

When you work hard, the rewards will be that much sweeter.

Whatever your goals, it’s important that you keep your motivation up to help you succeed. There are periods when you’ll find working out tough, but sticking with it will help you get to where you want to be.

When it feels like your motivation is running on empty, remind yourself of where you started and where you want to be to push yourself forward.

You’re in charge of your own destiny and you can do anything you want if you just believe in yourself.
