BE INSPIRED: 3 Indiegogo Projects We Can’t Stop Talking About!

Written By Whitney Blomquist

This week  as a part of our UR FEATURED FRIDAYS Series, We’re featuring 3 of our favorite crowdfunding projects!

So Worth Loving (SWL) launched their Indiegogo campaign with the hope that they could get their VW Van road-ready and travel cross country to meet none other than the people who inspired the brand, YOU! SWL set a goal of $27,000 that will allow them to travel 6,000 miles, document their journey, and share these stories with their ever-growing community.

SWL started out as an inspirational blog that quickly transformed into an overwhelming response of stories from people around the United States who were facing or had been through hardships and were feeling unworthy. The faces behind these stories are everyday people who wanted to share their struggles so that someone else could read or listen to them and realize how worth loving they are! The founder of So Worth Loving,  Eryn Erickson, strives to inspire people to love themselves for who they are and develop a positive self image.

Besides the huge support community SWL has created, they sell stylish shirts with their brand name on them so you can show everyone you are worth loving and so are they! SWL needs your help to reach their goal, so visit their Indiegogo page here and support a cause that will save a life, encourage someone else to share their story, or help someone get through the lowest point in their life.

40 Days For Eric Beyond Cancer! With only 13 days left in his Indiegogo campaign, it is imperative that we get the word out about Eric Njuguna. Eric is a 15-year-old from Kenya that was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma. He has undergone rigorous rounds of chemotherapy and continues to face a multitude of health issues (spinal meningitis and sinus difficulties), leaving him in an unstable condition and facing death.

After failed success with the chemotherapy treatments in Kenya, Eric was moved to a hospital in India for further treatment. As the medical bills continue to pile up, Eric’s mother faces $80,000 of medical debt (their campaign goal) and the unwavering fact that her child could pass away any second due to a lack of funds. Eric’s Indiegogo team, KeemoKidz, describes him as selfless, witty, intelligent, athletic and ready to fight this battle- but he needs all the help he can get. So check out Eric’s story and do what you can to help this young boy return home healthy and safe!
