When it comes to getting your glow back, this can mean a number of different things to you. It could mean feeling confident in your own body or it could mean upping your skincare regime for an outer glow. It doesn’t matter what it means to you, you need to find a way to feel confident in every aspect of your beauty regime. Ultimately, you want your skin healthy on the outside and you want to feel amazing on the inside. Here are a number of different ways that you can make it happen for you; try them for yourself and see which one works for you.

1. The Inner Glow

Before you can focus on your actual beauty regime, you need to figure out how to glow from the inside. This involves finding inner peace and contentment within yourself so that you can thrive in all aspects of your life. If you have never tried it before, meditation is absolutely amazing for connecting with your inner self. Here are some of the best scented candles for meditation; from jasmine to lavender, you need to find the scent that makes you feel completely at ease. During your meditation allow your mind to completely switch off for a few minutes. This may take some practice as you are no doubt full of thoughts and super busy. Meditation is like having a full night’s sleep in the space of five or ten minutes so it’s definitely the perfect way to re energize yourself and find your inner glow.

2. Hydrate

Another way to nourish your inner glow is by keeping yourself hydrated. Taking action with your water intake will make you feel amazing on the inside and your body will then thrive on the outside. If you have never been good at upping your water intake, you might want to invest in a new water bottle that shows the different timings of the day. You should aim to drink through each of these levels so that you reach two liters by bedtime.

3. Eat Well

Before you revamp your beauty regime, you need to think about whether you’re eating well in general. The foods you consume will have a direct impact on your skin, so it’s important to get these fundamentals just right. Steer clear from low fat, daddy diets that are bound to make you feel slow and sluggish. Diets that are high in fat and protein will actually help your skin to glow; fill your plate with lean fish, nuts, seeds, tofu and green veggies and this will give you a glorious glow.

4. Moisturize

Now it’s time to tackle your all important skin regime. If you don’t moisturize every single morning and night your skin is going to suffer. Not only will it look dull, but it may also feel tight and flaky. Try a non-comedogenic moisturizer if you are prone to acne; these products don’t contain any oil so they won’t clog your pores. Also, remember to invest in moisturizers that also have an SPF. Protection from the sun every single day is the best preventative when it comes to aging.

5. Exfoliate

You should aim to exfoliate around twice a week, depending on your skin type. If you have very dry skin that is easily irritated, you may only want to exfoliate once a week. Try a gentle scrubbing brush to get rid of flaky skin without being too harsh on your skin.

6. Resist Messing With Zits

When you wake up with the biggest zit on your chin it is so tempting to pick at it until it reduces in size. However, you are actually doing more damage than good when you mess with your pimples. So many of us are guilty of doing it, but you should never ever pick your zits. If you do anything, rub a tiny bit of tea tree oil onto your blemish using a clean cotton pad. The redness and swelling should reduce after a few hours. Try not to put too much makeup over it as this may cause more irritation.

When you look good on the outside, you are going to feel unstoppable on the inside. Sometimes you might need to give yourself a little pep talk, but this will work wonders for your confidence. Whether you’re shaking up your skincare regime or resisting the urge to pop those zits, all of the ideas above will bring you one step closer to getting your glow back.
