Have you ever gone traveling in a group? Maybe you’ve just been on a tour bus with all of your friends and loved every single second of it. Either way, if you want to make the most out of your next adventure, here are a few hints that will make your next trip even more exhilarating.

1. Take Advantage of Free Travel

Some companies will give you discounts, or even free nights if you choose to travel in a group of people. To take advantage of this, make sure that you tell your tour operator about your plans and also let them know how many days you’re going to be staying for. You never know when you might qualify for a better rate.

2. Agree on the Schedule

If you want to do something or see someone when you are in the area then you need to tell this to the group clearly. You can always take a day for yourself when travelling with other people and they will always understand. If you bottle it up and don’t mention it however, you will never end up having the great experience you truly wanted. Before you leave for the destination, it also helps to get everyone in agreement about what the plan is, as this will save a lot of hurt feelings and headaches.

3. Be Flexible

You have to understand when you travel in a group, that things can happen. You might need to accommodate some unforeseen changes and you might also need to take some time out. If exhaustion makes you grumpy, don’t be afraid to back out of a trip and take some “you” time. You’ll feel better for it and your friends will understand.

4. Be Unified

If you’re traveling for a specific event such as a birthday party or even a stag do, why not make it known? Get your own personalized t-shirts made at InkPressions or even talk with everyone to see if there’s a dress-up theme that you’re going to have. This can add a lot of fun and laughter to the event and it will also make it way more enjoyable.

5. Always Offer to Help

Even though you might have made a conscious effort to only pack the essentials, you can’t guarantee that everyone else will do the same. If someone is struggling with their bags, offer to help them. Sometimes support like this can go a long way and it can make the experience way more enjoyable for everyone involved.

6. Plan in Advance

There’s nothing worse than having to rush and make your booking just because you left it too late. If you want to help yourself here then you need to try and book as far in advance as you can. If you don’t, you may find yourself juggling everyone’s schedule and you may even not be able to get the dates you want either. This can make it harder for everyone, not to mention that it can also make it impossible for you to please the group.
