If you thought that loungewear and the athleisure looks were a thing of the past, you couldn’t  be more wrong. Athleisure isn’t just about wearing your pajamas, though. It is about wearing comfort clothing that can be worn outside of the house, but can also double up for some great home workout gear. It is all about Instagram-approved jogging pants, crop tops, stylish leggings, and a zip-up or wrap that is ready for your next Zoom call. The look can be dressed up or dressed down, which is why it is here and why it will be here for a while.

If you’re not too sure where to start with athleisure, and don’t want to look like you’re just going out in your sleepwear, then here are some of the best picks to choose. They’ll be great for your gal pals, girlfriends, sisters, and moms (as well as yourself, for a little treat too).

Joggers

If you have a pair of old sweats from college, then as nostalgic as they may be, it is time to say goodbye. Some cozy sweats like some performance joggers from Nordstrom can be a good idea. Not only are they cozy, but they are a great mix of style and comfort, and can be dressed down with a hoodie, or up with a vest top and denim jacket.

Chunky sneakers

Chunky sneakers are here to stay, no matter how fugly some people find them. They are great for wearing with your casual clothes, but dressed up with floaty dresses and skirts is a great look too. They can be used for doing sport too, so you’re winning if you have a pair. There are so many sites to choose from but a site like aldoshoes.com has a great range.

Crop top / Bra

Having the right support is a must when working out, but having the added benefit of comfort is what the athleisure trend gives. A top from a site like curvesncombatboots.com could fit the bill for comfort and style, with a variety of different styles to choose from. You’ll be comfortable as ever, and will look good too. Not to mention that you’ll be ready to drop into a yoga position at any moment, or head off for a run.

Windbreaker

Having something like a windbreaker in your athleisure arsenal goes hand in hand as it shows off style and comfort, but also serves a really practical purpose. You can go bold with color, but have the benefit of it being an extra layer on chilly days or when there is a rain shower. They’re light and inexpensive, so adding one is a must.

Leggings

Joggers are great, but for people that like to have something that sucks them in a little more, or works better for a sweaty workout, needs a good pair of leggings in their life. With so many colors and styles to choose from online, you really will be spoilt for choice.
