Picking a gift in general is hard enough, but even when you narrow it down to the beauty category it’s going to be tough due to the colossal amount of items on sale and all the different brands. However, buying beauty products is a great way to offer a personal gift. Whether you’re buying for a wife, friend or family member you can really get something that’s not such appropriate for them, but something they’ll benefit from for a long time. The range of skin products, health products and everything in between is huge. Hopefully the below tips can give you an idea of the kind of things you can buy and help you narrow them down slightly.

1. Buy A Treatment Instead Of A Product

Sometimes zoning in on a particular product can be pretty tough. That’s why it’s better to go for a treatment. You could go for something generic like a facial or maybe something like a massage. However, for the best gifts you need to find out exactly what they want or need. Treatments are not as expensive as you think either, laser hair removal can be affordable as can deeper face treatments such as microdermabrasion. You need to make sure that you give it to them in the form of a gift card or voucher so they can book the treatment for a time that suits them. Otherwise you could be putting them into an awkward position.

2. Splurge On A Spa Weekend

If you want to get them the ultimate gift then a Spa weekend can really go down well. You’re not only giving them a beauty gift but you’re also giving them a mini break where they can take time out from a busy work or family life. In the spa they will be able to get treatments while using the sauna, steam room, pool etc. Just try to buy them at least one treatment to go with the spa package. If you know their schedule you can go ahead and book it for them. If not, you may need to do some digging to ensure you can book it for a time they’re available.

3. Give the Gift of Luxury

Most women and men have specific products they’ll keep buying for usage. These will likely be lower or middle grade. Most won’t buy the luxury high end stuff week in week out because it’s quite expensive. Buying this for them might earn you top end brownie points. Face wash is a good example. The really expensive stuff might do a lot more for the skin. Or night cream. You can find out what the best products are by asking the intended recipient yourself. You might not want to ruin the surprise, but sometimes it’s better to get the gift exactly right rather than running the risk of missing the mark. You might want to take a risk and gamble on a product. If they use something often, like night cream, have a look at the brand they use and see if there is a more expensive version.
