Making an outfit more interesting can be a real challenge. A lot of people find themselves bored with the clothing they wear all the time, but don’t have the skills or experience to improve this side of their life. Buying a whole new wardrobe isn’t an option, and you probably don’t have time to alter your clothing, and this leaves you with few choices. Patterns can be a great way to change this, giving you the opportunity to include more in your outfits without much effort, and this post is going to show you how to use them.

1. Camo

Designed for use by militaries across the world, camouflage isn’t something which a lot of people see themselves wearing. This sort of pattern can be very interesting, and, in the right quantity, can look very tasteful with even the fanciest of outfits. You can click here to find out more about jewelry which uses camo, though it’s also worth exploring sites like Instagram and Pinterest to give yourself a better idea of how other people are using camo to expand their wardrobes.

2. Block Shading

Block shading has been popular in many times and regions throughout history, though most people will recognize the examples found in the 90’s as the golden age of this type of pattern. Consisting of large panels in different colors, block shading has been popular with coats, trousers, and even things like bags for a long time, and it provides an excellent way to make your outfits more interesting. You can even find examples which will work for formal occasions, with some designers using block shading to create outfits which are fit for any office.

3. Floral

Floral designs have been popular for an extremely long time, with Romans taking inspiration from nature, and even medieval knights adorning themselves with images of flowers. The type of flowers you choose can dictate how the entire outfit looks, making this pattern a great option for those who want to reimagine their style. Like camo, it’s worth using social media to guide you when you’re choosing the sort of floral designs you’d like to use. It’s often hard to pick from the bunch, with so many options looking great.

4. Geometric

Geometric artwork has taken the world by storm over the last few years, with a lot of people choosing to use these principles to decorate their homes. When it comes to the clothing you wear, though, you have a lot more options for geometric patterns, with fabrics, metals, and plastics all being the perfect vectors for this sort of design. It’s worth being careful with designs like this, as it can be easy to make your outfit look too busy if you have a lot of it.

With all of this in mind, you should be feeling inspired to start using patterns to reinvent your outfits. A lot of people struggle with work like this, finding it hard to know what needs to be done when they are working on their style. Of course, though, while it will take some work, it’s always worth putting time and effort into this.
