We’re going to start with the one thing that we all know isn’t the be-all and end-all when it comes to happiness, and yet it seeps into and dominates all aspects of our lives: money. John Lennon said all you need is love, but until they find some way of hooking love up to the national grid you’re going to need money if you want to keep to the lights on.
Perhaps you’re in a position where your monthly income more than covers your expenditure, and perhaps you spend your evenings making tough choices like Spain or France for a last minute getaway next week. 2. Create SMART Goals.

It stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timely.
The basic thinking is that if you want to feel like you’re on track to completing your goals, and if you want that contented feeling of accomplishment, you should outline your goal, track your progress, make sure your goal isn’t absurd given your circumstances, make sure your goal fits with your lifestyle so you won’t abandon it, and give yourself a timeframe. Do all that, and you could be amazed at how quickly your to-do list becomes your done-and-dusted list.
3. Nothing good ever came from disarray.
Whatever you want to do in life, whatever your calling or even just your new obsession, make physical space in your life for it.
Writing a book? You need a dedicated desk. Getting into music? You need a set space in your home to do so. Bakers need kitchens, swimmers need pools, gardeners need gardens. Whatever it is that you love, make space for it. This sanctum will help to bring you happiness.
