I spent yesterday evening at The Frye Company’s flagship store in Soho (113 Spring St) meeting Natalie Suarez of Natalie Off Duty and shopping her picks of the season. I only got to chat with her for a few minutes before being bum-rushed out of the way by really excited fans of her blog, but it was still great to meet her in person. The atmosphere of The Frye Company’s flagship store was really welcoming and fun, and I can’t wait to go back even if there isn’t a DJ set by Jordan Adoni or delicious mini tacos and sliders being passed around. It was my first time visiting The Frye Company and I was really blown away by the amazing event Nylon Mag put together with them. The Frye Company’s mission is to make the best-looking, hardest-working, longest-lasting shoes and leather goods and it certainly does not disappoint. They have a fantastic mix of modern and classic styles and a great selection for both men, women and even toddlers. Their leather is sourced from the finest tanneries around the world and it really shows when you look at their beautiful leather pieces like the Lara Short Slouch and Deborah Wallet. The leather is soft and supple with gorgeous stitching and I have a feeling that anything you bought from their stores would last years. While the pieces are out of my price range (oh the woes of being an actor and writer), the quality is amazing and I’m already saving up for a beautiful new pair of cowboy boots! I  would definitely recommend visiting the store if you’re in the Soho area. Even if you’re not looking for anything leather-related, the adorable stuffed animals in the back of the store are worth making the trip over. Trust me, I know because I talked to Joe about how cute they were for atleast five minutes.
