HYPEWORTHY: LOS ANGELES’HOTTEST OCTOBER EVENTS
FILTER Magazine’s: Culture Collide Festival 2013
Thursday – Saturday, October 10 – 12
Culture Collide 2013 brings music, art, film and more to Echo Park. With 60+ artists from around the world and seven venues there is sure to be something for everyone. What’s great about this festival is that you get to see performances by people from around the world! $30 gets you a wristband for the day, which is a steal (because airfare and accommodations to Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, and Japan would cost a whole lot more to see some of these bands). Note: Event is 21+.
Saturday, October 12 – 7pm – 10pm
Every second Saturday of the month, Northeast Los Angeles Arts Organization, Inc hosts NELAart. Based in Highland Park, NELAart consists of galleries and art organizations located in Northeast Los Angeles who are dedicated to increasing the visibility of the thriving art community in the area. The neighborhood is home to many galleries, alternative art spaces and art organizations. Admission is free and it’s a great way to support the community and Los Angeles – based artists.
