ELECTRIC ZOO 2013
New York’s Electronic Music Festival
Labor Day Weekend 2013
FRI Aug 30 / SAT Aug 31 / SUN Sept 1

Celebrating Our 5th Anniversary with 5 Stages Total! #EZoo5

Electric Zoo: New York’s Electronic Music Festival is thrilled to announce the addition of a second Main Stage to celebrate its fifth anniversary as New York’s premiere electronic music festival bringing over 140 of the world’s best talent in dance music to Randall’s Island Park for a three-day summer bash over Labor Day Weekend, August 30, August 31, and September 1.
Five years ago, Electric Zoo stormed onto the scene, bringing electronic dance music to the forefront in New York City. Since then Electric Zoo has seen attendees from 188 countries and all 50 states making the pilgrimage to the greatest city in the world to celebrate electronic dance music with like-minded fans and internationally renowned DJs and live acts. In 2013, Electric Zoo continues to evolve and expand with the addition of a new Main Stage – Main Stage East, for a total of two open-air stages, plus three state-of-the-art tents: The Hilltop, The Riverside and Made Event’s legendary Sunday School Tent. This will all be set in the lush landscape of Randall’s Island, complete with exquisite views of the Manhattan Skyline and the East River.
“Every year we have been committed to improving the Electric Zoo experience for all of our fans. This year we decided to celebrate our fifth year anniversary by going bigger and adding a 2nd main stage with 30 more acts to celebrate our collective passion for dance music.”

– Laura De Palma & Mike Bindra, Founders of Made Event & Creators of Electric Zoo
Electric Zoo will once again feature innovative label showcase takeovers. On Friday, August 30, the hard-hitting duo of Skrillex and Boys Noize join forces as Dog Blood to curate the Riverside Tent with a BOYSNOIZE RECORDS & OWSLA showcase. For the rest of the weekend, Riverside sees the return of two world-renowned electronic music tastemakers: A-Trak’s FOOL’S GOLD CLUBHOUSE on Saturday, August 31 and Steve Aoki’s DIM MAK on Sunday, September 1. Finally, the techno congnoscenti will descend as Sunday School Grove presents Swedish techno iconAdam Beyer’s DRUMCODE RECORDS on Sunday, September 1.

“And what better way to close out the summer season than by engaging all of one’s senses — or perhaps even taking leave of them — at a colossal dance party? Over Labor Day weekend,  Randall’s Island will host the 5th annual Electric Zoo festival,  featuring a who’s who of the biggest names in electronic dance music: Avicii,  Tiësto and Steve Aoki are just three of several dozen acts set to grace the festival’s five stages.” -THE NEW YORK TIMES

“Put your hands in the air at Electric Zoo, one of the best outdoor things to do in the summer. The outdoor EDM megabash celebrates its fifth anniversary on Randalls Island this Labor Day weekend. And the onslaught of DJs,  artists and beat makers is as diverse as ever. Nab tickets now—lest you miss the last big blowout of the season.” – TIME OUT NEW YORK
“One last hurrah before summer slips away: Electric Zoo fêtes its fifth anniversary with five stages of woofer-wrecking dance music from David Guetta, Steve Aoki, and others.” – ‘The Summer Guide 2013’ NEW YORK MAGAZINE
“A year after electronic dance music’s explosion in festival circles, its popularity is continuing apace in the mainstream. An early East Coast festival champion, Electric Zoo, celebrates its prescience by adding a surge of dance heavyweights to the bill, notably Avicii, Tiësto, David Guetta, Knife Party, Bassnectar, Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren, Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso.” – THE NEW YORK TIMES
