There’s nothing quite like discovering a new artist and falling head over heels for them; I’m looking at you, Josef Salvat.
The Australian-born, London-based newcomer released his debut EP In Your Prime recently and I’m smitten. After stumbling upon the singer-songwriter’s EP, I gave it a listen and suddenly found myself having a one-woman dance party to the infectious electro-pop beat of “Open Season.”
The EP includes two previously released songs; the atmospheric yet uplifting “The Life,” and “Shoot and Run,” which delivers a dark backdrop for Salvat’s vocal talents to shine through. Lastly, Salvat covers Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” but takes a haunting back-to-basics approach focusing on piano and vocals alone.
You can stream Josef Salvat’s full EP below, and stay tuned for his full album scheduled to be released in 2015.
