If releasing 3 singles in the past month wasn’t enough to get us stoked for her new album, Lana Del Rey just took our excitement to a whole new level. She just released her fourth single “Brooklyn Baby” this week and of course, it’s indie pop perfection. Lana Del Rey kills with lyrics that confront stereotypes of hipsters and millennials in the very obvious and clever chorus:
Well, my boyfriend’s in the band / He plays guitar while I sing Lou Reed / I’ve got feathers in my hair / I get down to Beat poetry / And my jazz collection’s rare / I can play most anything / I’m a Brooklyn baby
Lana Del Rey’s newest album Ultraviolence drops June 17.
