There are artists that you can sonically vibe to, and then there are sensory experiences like the latest video from Brit singer FKA Twigs. Born as Tahlia Barnett, FKA Twigs has done no less than stun in the past, proving she knows how to make a bomb video with entrancing gems like “Water Me” and “How’s That“.
Yesterday marked the release of the music video for “Two Weeks”, the first single off of her debut album LP1, set for release August 12. The video, directed by Nabil, is essentially a slow pan revealing the singer in a goddess-like scene and more as the song escalates. Fueled by heavy synths and her layered falsetto, her sound echoes the sort of spacey pop and breathy R&B that’s all too easy to fall in love with.
