UR TRAVEL: Experience Tennessee at the Omni Nashville

They say the first impression is the most important. If that’s what you believe, the Omni Nashville Hotel is the best place for you to stay in Nashville, Tennessee. Located within walking distance of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Bridgestone Arena and all the bars and restaurants in Downtown Nashville, guests of the Omni Nashville will not miss out on any experiences Nashville has to offer.

Whether I was walking into the lobby of the Omni Nashville for the first time or the fifth time, it never failed to take my breath away. The gorgeous marble floors contrasted well with the dark wood on the walls and accents throughout the lobby, and the fireplaces gave the lobby even more of a homey feel. I arrived at the Omni Nashville a little before my check-in time but took advantage of the pre-check-in option at the front desk. I gave the friendly concierge my cell phone number and went sight-seeing while I waited for a text message to be sent directly to my phone alerting me as soon as my room was ready.

As soon as I walked through the door of my room, my jaw dropped to the floor. There was a wet bar, a living room and two flat screen TVs that I would see just from the doorway. The bedroom consisted of a king-size bed, two closets, another flat screen (that’s three total) and the most amazing view you will ever see in your life. From my window, I could see Downtown Nashville in all its glory. The Omni Nashville has a rooftop pool and bar that made the experience that much more welcoming. In addition, the bathroom was phenomenal in every way possible. The lighting was on point for putting on makeup when I was getting ready to go out, the floor-to-ceiling glass shower had the perfect water pressure and the jacuzzi tub was magical when taking a bath to unwind after a long day of sight-seeing. I was in heaven.

After getting settled in the room, I went to the rooftop pool to relax for a few hours. The deck is positioned on top of the hotel at the perfect location where the breeze was not overbearing but more than could be felt from the street below. After leaving the pool, I went back up to my room to get ready for a night out and headed to the main floor to the Omni Nashville’s entertainment restaurant and bar “Barlines” for a quick bite. I was not expecting much as I sat at the bar to eat typical bar food but was incredibly surprised by how delicious my grilled pimiento cheese sandwich was. It was a little greasy for my taste, combined with fries, but what else do you expect from a grilled cheese sandwich? Needless to say, I ate way too much and stayed too long watching sports on the many flat screen TVs positioned all around the restaurant.

While in Nashville, I knew if I was going to see Music City, I was going to have to dive in and surround myself with good music all night. After dinner, I walked to a concert at The High Watt from the Omni Nashville featuring unsigned Nashville band Our Vintage Film (I ended up leaving with a t-shirt if that tells you anything about how good they were.) From The High Watt, I went to restaurant by day, nightclub by night The Stone Fox outside Downtown Nashville where the great music only continued. After one of the most fun and entertaining nights of my life, I got to enjoy an even more amazing view of Downtown Nashville completely lit up at night that is utterly indescribable, and I can only say you have to see it for yourself.

Check-out the next morning was simple and easy with the express checkout. I dialed a number on my room phone to confirm my bill was correct, took my suitcase down to the lobby and dropped my room keys in a box on the way out of the elevator. I waited in no lines and experienced zero hassle, unlike any hotel I have ever been in.

I could not have enjoyed my stay at the Omni Nashville Hotel more. Whether you’re there to soak up everything Nashville has to offer or just want a peaceful night in, this is the hotel for you. The Omni Nashville Hotel is a place every Nashville visitor needs to experience for themselves.
