Who doesn’t love a quick and easy pulled pork recipe? I mean, I for one try and spend as little time preparing and making food in the kitchen as possible. Not because I don’t like to eat, but because it’s incredibly time consuming.
Because I’ve been trying to watch my waistline and my wallet, I’ve been making a concerted effort to order out less and cook at home. The idea at first was overwhelming until I started using my crockpot (I’ve got the Ninja 4-in-1 Cooking system and omg it’s a been a lifesaver!).
I spent hours on Pinterest looking for all types of crock pot ideas and cooking directions- the ones that stood out the most to me were the pulled pork crockpot recipes. Why? Because BBQ pulled pork changed my life 3 years ago and I haven’t been able to stop craving it since.
Pulled pork wasn’t something I really appreciated until I moved to Atlanta a few years ago. Although I had eaten pulled pork on occasion as a child growing up in Philadelphia, it wasn’t something I ever really cared for. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I always found it kind of dry and tasteless.
That all changed in May 2016 (yes, I remember the month- my ex’s mom was in town) when I first went to Fat Matt’s Rib Shack. I had no idea that their BBQ Pulled Pork would forever change my opinion of a sandwich I was never a fan of.
Fat Matt’s Rib Shack here in ATL is quite the bbq lover’s experience. For one, it’s literally in a large shack. The staff is friendly and the food is hands down the best BBQ I’ve had since living here. The BBQ pulled pork is so delightful, it’ll bring tears to your eyes- don’t even get me started on the ribs! Absolutely amazing!
Since I’m no cooking connoisseur, finding quick and easy pulled pork recipes was a must! Thankfully I came across these awesome recipes below- I hope you love them as much as I do!
