Keeping Humphrey Healthy With The Missing Link

Isn’t it funny how time flies when you’re a pet owner?! I got Humphrey from the Humane Society when he was just 4 months old and 16 pounds. It’s hard to believe that he just celebrated his 6th birthday in May and is now 120 pounds. It seems like it was just yesterday that he was this rambunctious, wide-eyed pup and now he’s this mild-mannered, somewhat skittish, sweet adult dog.

At our last vet visit, the doctor pointed out that although he had just turned six, now was the time to start being mindful of his hips and joints. He suggested that I start monitoring his food intake and increase the length of his walks to get his weight down. Well, being the mildly neurotic dog mom that I am, I knew I needed to do more than just extended walks and cutting out table food, but I was unclear on where to start. That’s why when The Missing Link reached out and introduced me to their amazing line of products, I hopped all over it!

I knew immediately that the item for Humphrey would be The Original Superfood Supplement for Hips & Joints. Although I feed him high quality food, I just didn’t feel like food and exercise were going to be enough to protect his hips and joints. The Missing Link’s Hips & Joints Superfood Supplement not only helps his hips and joints, but it also supports his immune system, helps with tendon, muscle and ligament health and even promotes him having healthier skin and coat. It’s comprised of everything from ground flaxseed to Vitamin b12, and freeze dried beef liver.

I’ve been giving it to him daily for about 8 days (I slowly started to add a little bit more each day to his diet since it is high in fiber) and I already feel like his energy level is higher and that he’s able to play catch for longer without tiring out. In addition to the hips and joints supplement, I also got him their Pet Kelp Probiotic. I’m giving that to him once a week, just to keep his system regular and healthy.

As an adult, I take supplements and vitamins to ensure I’m as healthy as possible- why should it be any different when it comes to our fur babies? If you want to make sure your dog is getting all of the vitamins and minerals that he needs to ensure he’s living his healthiest and best life, I suggest trying The Missing Link’s products- you won’t be disappointed!
