THEURBANLUSH: BIG KID ROOT BEER FLOAT

This week, Megan and I have come up with the perfect Thanksgiving dessert cocktail (for adults only obviously)! We wanted to do something a little different that tasted amazing. After much brainstorming, the idea of mixing ice cream with Whynatte came to me. But how do you take that and make it into a cocktail? We racked our brains for awhile, and then realized the answer was right in front of us: You make a tasty root beer float. When I say this drink is going to blow your mind, I’m not exaggerating! I’m not a huge root beer fan, but mixed with gelato, rum and Whynatte? I could have one everyday! Here’s how you make this delightful concoction:

1 can Whynatte
2 scoops mocha gelato
2 scoops vanilla bean gelato
4oz dark rum
10oz root beer

For our big kid root beer float recipe, start with the mocha gelato. Add one scoop into each glass. Next, pour two oz rum into each glass. Then split the can of Whynatte evenly. Next, add 3oz of root beer to each glass. Top off each float with a scoop of vanilla bean gelato. Finally, pour in 2oz of root beer into each glass to really get it fizzing.
