If you’ve been following me for some time, you know that I love to eat! I’m constantly on the hunt for new food experiences and places to try. Whether I’m home in Atlanta or traveling abroad- I’m always looking out for my next best meal. That’s why when Tillamook contacted me to partner with them on announcing their cheeses and ice creams are now available in Atlanta and that they’d be hosting a Tillamook Cheese event with Sweet Auburn Barbecue, I hopped all over it!
What immediately drew me to Tillamook was how natural and unprocessed their farms are. Tillamook is a 110-year-old, farmer-owned cooperative based in Tillamook, Oregon, made up of about 80 farming families- how cool is that?
After getting my hands on their Sharp White Cheddar Cheese, I knew then and there the #Meltyfest VIP event with Sweet Auburn Barbecue was going to be one for the books!
When I arrived at The Tillamook Meltyfest VIP event, I felt like I had walked into a piece of heaven. The cocktails were delightful and the food was AMAZING! I still haven’t decided which was my favorite item. It’s a toss up between the Tillamook Pimento Cheese Wontons, the Coconut Lemongrass Spare Ribs and the Tillamook Cheddar Grits!
What really set the night apart from other experiences I’ve had, was that we actually had a Pimento Cheese Wonton making class with Chef Anit Hsu. It’s so rare that you get the opportunity to connect with a chef on such a personal level in their kitchen- it was such a great time!
Although the consumer event is already sold out, my dear friends don’t fret! You can purchase Tillamook Cheese and Ice Cream here and create Sweet Auburn Barbecue’s Cheddar Grits right in the comfort of your home, using the recipe below!
