UR TRENDY: Our Met Gala 2014 Favorites
Written by Melanie Sutrathada
From crop tops and opera gloves to dramatic neutrals and beaded dresses, the 43rd annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art did not disappoint. The event was held in New York City on May 5th and may very well have been one of the most important fashion nights of the year. The theme for this year’s event was a tribute to Charles James, a legendary British designer who revolutionized mid-century fashion. However, our eyes were definitely glued to the celebrities, designers and editors dressed to the nines in full “white tie” attire. Some of our style favorites for the night were Blake Lively in a glamorous embellished Gucci gown and Olivia Munn in a canary yellow Dianne von Furstenberg number. All in all, we can’t get enough the fashion at the Met Gala! Which stars made your best-dressed list? What about the worst? We’d love to read about it in the comments section!
